Forever In Our Hearts

Mr. Richard R.

Mr. Richard R. "Dick" Moore

July 22nd, 1946 ~ January 12th, 2021

A piece of Norton Funeral Home went to Heaven when we lost you. Dick was a major part of our family who devoted countless hours to serving families and even doing odd jobs around the funeral home. He would always arrive early and leave late. When Dick saw something needed fixing, he didn't ask if it needed attention, he just completed the job. Although his physical presence is greatly missed, we will carry his memory and legacy with us each and every day.

Reverend Jackie Hinson

September 3rd, 1934 ~ August 5th, 2022

Dedicated to family and friends, but most importantly to God, this was Reverend Jackie Hinson. Jackie felt God's tugging at his heart from an early age to be a minister of the Gospel and he took that calling seriously. In every day of his life, he exemplified what God's love is all about. We at Norton Funeral Home were blessed to have him as one of our family members and are truly better people today for having known him. Jackie being called home to Heaven was not goodbye, but rather, until we meet again, our brother.

Reverend James E. "Jim" Beck, Jr.

March 14th, 1950 ~ August 7th, 2022

With love, we remember Reverend James E. "Jim" Beck, Jr. Jim, a member of our family since the early 1980's served our firm in whatever capacity he was needed. If a family was without a minister, without hesitation, he would gladly step forward and minister to that family. He was a man who had a longing for the gospel of Christ and devoted each day to being a servant of His. Our hearts became heavy with his passing, but due to our faith in God's salvation, some of the weight was lifted knowing we'll one day see you again, our brother.

Richard R. Parnell, Jr.

March 14th, 1941 ~ April 20th, 2023

Richard faithfully served our firm for 10+ years. He would not even consider going on vacation if he thought he was needed here at the funeral home. His love for people and helping others was exemplified each and every day. One of the hardest things for him later in life was not being able to work due to his illness. Although his physical presence was missed during those days and is missed now due to his home-going, Richard will always be a part of us and we carry him with us daily. Our brother, we’ll see you again one sweet day.

Mr. Richard R.

With love, we also remember these men who were instrumental with our funeral home in Bishopville.
