Zonnie Houser

Bishopville, S.C.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Zonnie P. Houser who left us on February 3, 2025. She was a loving mother, a devoted caregiver, and a true angel to everyone who knew her.

Born on January 9th, 1959, Zonnie lived a life full of compassion, kindness, and unwavering love. As a caregiver, she selflessly dedicated her life to taking care of others, often putting the needs of those around her before her own. Her gentle hands and nurturing heart touched countless lives, and her legacy will forever be remembered in the lives she changed.

She was the cornerstone of our family, always ready with a word of wisdom or a comforting hug. Her strength, grace, and unconditional love were a beacon for all who knew her. She gave her all to her family, friends, and the many people she cared for over the years, showing that true love is not just spoken but lived.

Zonnie is survived by her daughters, Alison (Jason) Chisholm, Sara (Martin) Peck, grandchildren, Cole, Remington, Tinley, Aubrey, and Easton, sister, Freda (John) Bradshaw, brother, Robbie (Nicole) McLendon, and special nephews JR (Juli) Bradshaw and Joshua (Brooke) Bradshaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Houser, father, RB McLendon, and mother, Sara McLendon. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to experience her warmth and love.

A celebration of Zonnie’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8th at Grantham Cemetery at 2pm where we will gather to honor the incredible woman she was. Rev. John Gallagher will officiate. Visitation will be following the graveside service, directed by Norton Funeral Home.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Prisma Health, Crescent Hospice, and her work family at The Legacy of Hartsville. The care and support they provided her during her journey were a true blessing, and we are deeply grateful for the love, compassion, and professionalism they extended to her and to our family.

Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide us, and her love will remain forever in our hearts.

"A Life So Beautifully Lived, Should Be Beautifully Remembered."

Norton Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to serve the Houser family.
