Yvonne Barefoot

Services for Yvonne Freeman Barefoot age 83 will be held Tuesday at 2:30 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Bishop Heber Watson will be conducting the services, directed by Norton Funeral Home with burial in the LDS Cemetery in Society Hill. Visitation will be Tuesday 1:00-2:30pm at the church.

Yvonne passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the McLeod Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Patrick, SC the daughter of the late Laron and Gencie Geneva Hall Freeman.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hartsville Ward.  She enjoyed working in her yards and loved her flowers.  Her life revolved around attending special events for her kids and her grandchildren.  Anyone who knew Yvonne knew that she was a big hugger, if you were in her presence she would greet you with one of her special hugs.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, George W. Barefoot, Hartsville; son, Victor W. (Donna) Barefoot, Cheraw; daughters, Sandra (Mike) Byrd, Hartsville, Tammy Barefoot, Hartsville; grandchildren, Brittany Barefoot, Patrick Barefoot, Megan Ames, Clint Byrd, Kaila Barefoot, Jake Barefoot; great grandchildren, Everly Grace Ames, Stella Byrd; siblings, Lloyd Freeman, Frances Mixon, George Freeman, Tina St. Pierre, Selma McLendon, Larry Freeman, Darlene Wallace and Craig Freeman.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph Freeman.
