Wilton Watkins

Graveside service for Wilton Travis Watkins, age 86 will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Family will receive friends anytime at the residence at 4060 Lee State Park Road, Lamar and following the graveside service at the cemetery.

Mr. Watkins was born in Lamar a son of the late Coyt Eldridge and Belvadine Bell Watkins. He retired from DuPont after 38 years of service, was a member of Wayside Baptist where he taught Sunday School for 40 years. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Surviving are one son, Philip (Ruth) Watkins, Lamar; one daughter, Beverly (Randy) Schoenecker, Florence; one brother, Eldridge (Ellen) Watkins, Lamar; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Watkins; one son, David Russell Watkins.

Memorials may be made to a Charity of one’s choice.
