McBee, S.C. Funeral services for William Leonard Ratliff, Sr., age 82, who passed away September 20, will be held Saturday at 3:00 at McBee Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.Rev. Charlie Short and Rev. Ken Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in the McBee Cemetery with Masonic and Military Rites, directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Mr. Ratliff was born in Cheraw, a son of the late Walter David and Bertha Brock Ratliff. He retired from DuPont after working with Seaboard Airline Railroad and serving in the US Army. He was a member of the McBee Masonic Lodge No. 313 and a member of the McBee Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Christine Blackwell Ratliff of McBee; one son, William Leonard Lynn (Ellice) Ratliff of Tulsa, OK; four daughters, Deborah Debbie Ratliff (Scott) Timms of Hartsville, Monissa Dawn (Dennis) West of Bethune, Tonda Ratliff (Randy) Thomas of Danville, VA, and Laura Ratliff (Steven) Lovelace of McBee; five brothers, Jerry Ratliff of Charlotte, Bobby Ratliff of Wallace, Henry Ratliff of Cheraw, Kenneth Tim Ratliff of Rockingham, N.C. and Clinton Ratliff of Chesterfield; one sister, Rebecca Sellers of Ruby; nine grandchildren, Brandy W. Melton, Crystal Earle, Kelly West, Daniel Earle, Hank Ratliff, Hailey Lovelace, Claire Ratliff, Alana Thomas and William Billy Lovelace; three great grandchildren, Kayleigh West, Clara Beth Earle and Kimber Melton. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Seldon Thomas; siblings, Charles Ratliff and Fannie Pat Moore.
