William Boyce Childers, Jr.

McBee, SC

     Mr. William Boyce “Will” Childers, Jr., 47, passed away Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, peacefully while at his home. 

     Will was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend to so many. He was an active member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bethune and was employed by Impact Imaging of Darlington. Will was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved playing his guitar, playing videogames, and going to the drag race on the weekends. Will not only enjoyed his hobbies, but he also loved more than anything else, spending time with his family and friends; especially his granddaughter, Addy. 

     Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kalee (Davey) Coates of Bethune and Abby Childers of McBee; granddaughter, Addy Coates of Bethune; mother, Diane (Jerry) Gainey of Bethune; father, William Childers, Sr. of McBee; sister, Brandy Childers of McBee; nephew, Jackson Polson of McBee; stepsisters, Jessica Gainey and Kacey Gainey; and stepbrother, Jerry Gainey, Jr.

     He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Zeke & Gladys Andrews, and William Thomas & Mildred Brown.

     His funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 on Saturday afternoon, September 7th, 2024, from the Hartsville Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with burial following in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery of Bethune. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
