William Brock

HARTSVILLE, SC – William F. Brock, 75 of Hartsville passed away at 3:08 A.M. on Father’s day Sunday June 19, 2016 at his home.
He was born July 16, 1940 in Bennettsville, to Ed and Nellie Mae (Barber) Brock. He married Shirley Jones on May 18, 1957 in Bennettsville. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Rev. W. Lloyd (Kim) Brock of Pekin, IL; One daughter, Denise (Tim) Hall of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren: Faith (Josh) Barnhouse of Murfreesboro, TN; Tiffany (Christopher) Mills of Myrtle Beach; Hope Brock of Chicago, IL; Jennifer (Brandon) Reynolds of Whiteman AFB, MO; Will Brock of Pekin, IL. Four great grandchildren Tanner Lankford, Mason Lankford, Brayden Mills, Grace Reynolds; One sister Dot (David) Taylor.
William was preceeded in death by one infant son Frankie, his parents, one brother Charles, and one son in law Ray Clardy.
William was an entrepreneur and professional salesman who worked for Winn Dixie, Peoples Natural Gas, Suburban Propane, started numerous businesses, and was a successful salesman for the Paymaster Corporation. He enjoyed traveling, meeting people, and most of all loved his family.
The funeral will be at 11AM on Wednesday June 22 at Hartsville First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. W. Lloyd Brock will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 A.M. prior to the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 Wednesday at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach., directed by Norton Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions will be received by the family. The family would like to offer special thanks to Embrace Hospice for their love and service.
