Funeral services for Wade Hollis Gainey age 74, will be held Saturday at 4:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Robert Turner and Mr. James O’Neal will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Gainey was born in Patrick a son of the late Lawrence Wiley and Carrie Lewis Gainey. He was a member of Childrens Baptist Church. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company after 34 years of service and was a member of the Old Timers Club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a servant of God.

Surviving are his wife: Linda Byrd Gainey, Patrick; two daughters, Debra (Jeff) Davis, Cheraw and Lyn (James) O’Neal, Patrick; one sister, Maggie Gainey, McBee; three grandchildren, Preston O’Neal, Patrick, Lysey O’Neal, Patrick and Katelyn Davis, Cheraw. He was preceded in death by five brothers, June, James, L.A. Tom and W.T. Gainey; three sisters, Ellen Weatherford, Dorothy Mae Gerald and Marie Gainey.
