Virginia Lay

Mrs. Virginia Florence Lay of Hartsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 10th, 2018, at the McLeod Hospice House.  She was 89 years old and passed just 10 days short of her 90th birthday.

Mrs. Lay was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Texas; the daughter of Reed E. Lee and Linda Bennett.  She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Texas.  She was married to her late husband, Johnny G. Lay for 35 years and has 2 sons, Shawn Lay of Hartsville and Thomas Lay of Santa Cruz, California.

She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Alexander Lay, Lawrence Lay, Katerina Lay, and Griffin Lay.
