Sumter, S.C. Graveside services for Virgil Wayne Ray, age 71, formerly of Bishopville who passed away March 26 will be held Saturday at 4:00 at the Piedmont Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Rev. Ron Graham will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:30 3:30 pm before the service at the funeral home. Wayne was born in Bishopville a son of Ben Team and Nannie Jackson Ray. Surviving are his wife, Betty Lou Hootman Ray, Sumter; three step daughters; one sister, Myrtle R. (John) Hancock, Darlington; several nieces & nephews who loved him dearly. May you Rest In Peace. He was preceded in death by his siblings; George H. Ray, Leon (Buddy) Ray, Lois R. Standard, Jack D. Ray, Ben A. Ray and Peggy A. Carabo.
