Vanessa L. Carter

Celebration of Life services for Vanessa Carter age 55 will be held 4:00pm Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Pastor Kevin Walters will officiate.  Visitation will be held following the services.

Vanessa passed away at her home on October 31, 2022.  She was born in Hartsville, SC the daughter of the late Coy Carter, Jr. and Shirley Rogers Carter.  She worked previously at Galey and Lord and Johnsons Control.  Vanessa had many enjoyments in life a few of those were riding her Harley and having one of her fun filled “garage parties”.  She enjoyed life and truly lived it to the fullest.  She loved her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her family, Kim Northcutt, Hartsville, Kathy Carter, Hartsville, Jerry Carter, Hartsville, Timmy Rogers, Mullins; her best friends, Stephanie Baldwin and Cheryl Burch; special friends, Adam Griggs, Nina Atkinson and Tina Wiggins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Rusty Carter and her beloved dog “Chi Chi”.

The family would like to give special thanks to Agape Hospice for the loving care during Vanessa’s illness, special thanks to caregivers, Christy, Lana, Tiffany, Terry, Jackie, Veronica, and Ruby.
