Mrs. Tommie Lou Jordan, passed away on September 26 2024, at the age of 76. Born on September 17, 1948, in Hartsville, SC
Tommie was known for her great love of cooking, often delighting those around her with her signature macaroni and cheese. Her kitchen was always a welcoming place filled with the sweet aroma of her favorite desserts, as she had a special fondness for cake and all things sweet.
Her passions extended beyond the kitchen; Tommie loved thrift shopping, often finding treasures that she would proudly share with her loved ones. Her vibrant personality and unwavering love for her family created countless beautiful memories that will be treasured forever.
Tommie is survived by her daughters, Shelley Howle (Tim) of Pickens and Lenette Newsome (Shand) of McBee. She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Morgan Marshall of Columbia, along with her long-time friend, Jeff Smith, nephew Lee Amerson ( Pam), McBee, neice Stacy Gage (Justin), Hartsville, and her special granddogs, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Tommie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Madden Cathcart and Mary Edna Blackmon Cathcart, and her husband, Johnny Howle; her sister, Sloan Amerson, and her nieces, Lisa Howard and Kimber Leigh Atkinson, alongside her beloved pet, Huney.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Cemetery, located at 140 S Cedar Ln, Hartsville, SC. Mr. Steve Winburn will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked memorials be made to the Darlington County Humane Society, PO Box 1655, Hartsville, SC 29551.
