Thomas Norton

Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Thomas Clifton (Tommy) Norton, age 80, who passed away October 25, will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Dr. Gary Colboch and Dr. Milton G. Frazier will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Tommy was born in Darlington County a son of the late Clifton Liston & Fannie Mae Hutchinson Norton. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School,& attended Clemson University. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, having served for two years during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. He was employed with Coker Pedigreed Seed Company for 26 years and retired from Helig/Meyer Furniture Company. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Living Hope Sunday School Class. Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Norton, Columbus, Ohio, Tammy Norton, Florence, two sons, Chris (Rhonda) Norton, Hartsville, Danny (Lori) Norton, Hartsville, 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Stewart Norton and a brother, Johnny Liston Norton.
