Graveside services for Thomas G. (Tommy) Geddings, III age 69 will be held Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at 11:00am at Bethany (Tiller) Cemetery. Rev. Kathy Carr will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 1, 4-6pm at Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville.

Tommy passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lee County, the son of the late Thomas G. (Bud) Geddings, Jr. and Vera R. Horton. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Bethune, and was retired from International Paper Company, Eastover Division. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a Yeoman Third Class on the LST-1153 USS Talbot County during the Vietnam Era. He was a devoted husband and father. His family will always remember him for his love of old cars, especially his Thunderbirds.

Surviving are his mother of Bishopville; his wife of 33 years, Dale Y. Geddings; son, Thomas Grayham Geddings, Bishopville; daughter, Amanda Ellen (Christopher) Richardson, Pomaria; step son, Wofford B. (W.B.) Webb, II, Bishopville; grandchildren, Kameron, Kelsey, and Zachary; sister, Ruth Geddings, Bishopville; aunts and cousins.

Memorials may be made to St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 2144 Stokes Bridge Road West, Bishopville, SC 29010 or to a cause of one’s choosing.
