Thomas Hopkins

Hartsville, SC Mr. Thomas Edward Hopkins age 81 passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 following a long illness. He was born in Darlington County the son of the late Walter and Lottie Hopkins of McColl, SC. Mr. Hopkins worked in textiles for 40 years. He retired from Klopman in 1990. He enjoyed playing music, fishing, and spending time with his family. His grandchildren forever lifted his spirits. Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret L. Hopkins, Hartsville. Daughters: Esther (Furman) Teal, Patricia (William) Teal, both of Chesterfield County. 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Brothers: Walter J. Hopkins, Hartsville. Sisters: Inez Williams, Wilmington, NC, Lois Outlaw, Camden. He was preceded in death by brothers: John Wesley Hopkins and William Hopkins.
