It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Thomas Ervin Hayden.

Services of Remembrance will be 2:00pm Saturday at Clyde Church of God.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.  Pastor Daniel Poston and Pastor Eric Shuler will officate, directed by Norton Funeral Home and Crematory.

Thomas Ervin Hayden died May 11, 2023 after 78 years of pursuing his life's many callings. He was called grandpa by some, called peepaw by a few, and called to meet at the Markette by many. Ervin was called to dinner, where absolutely no garlic was present, to be surrounded by his 5 children, Angela H. Gainey (Russell), Shirley H. Brown (Robert), Dawn H. Shuler (Eric), Russell Hayden (Brandi), 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and the loves of their lives. Despite limited education, his grit and determination created a successful businessman that grinned while crushing cars into cold hard cash with plenty of vacation time to watch his wife Ann outfish him. He will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by a son, Thomas Hayden and a grandson, Dustin Shuler.
