Bishopville, S.C. Funeral services for Taylor Christian Gainey, age 19, who passed away December 13, will be held Monday at 4:00 at the St. Matthew United Methodist Church. Rev. Kimberly Evans will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Matthew Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Visitation will be Sunday 3-5 pm at the Funeral Home. Taylor was born in Sumter a son of Candace Marie Brown Outlaw and James Ervin Gainey, Jr. He was a graduated from Robert E. Lee Academy in 2012 where he was on the football & track team. He was a student at Florence Darlington TEC working toward a degree in welding. Taylor was a loving person and always had a smile for everyone, never met a stranger and would help anyone he could. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church and was employed at Hardees. Surviving are his mother and step father, Candace & James Sidney Outlaw, Jr., Bishopville; His father and step mother, James Ervin & Colleen Gainey, Jr., Melbourne, FL; one sister, Jenna Gainey, Bishopville; one half brother, Lane Gainey, US Navy; three step sisters, Katherine Gaskins, McBee, Anna Outlaw, Bishopville and Katie Beaty, Melbourne, FL; three step brothers, Drew Beaty, Hollywood, FL, Ian Beaty, Aiken and James Beaty, Melbourne, FL; his Maternal Grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John W. Brown, Bishopville; Maternal Great Grandmother, Elizabeth D.
