Norton Funeral Home Hartsville, SC Graveside services for Steve A. Atkinson age 59 will be held Sunday at 3:00pm at New Market United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Grover Johnson and Rev. Richard Toy will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Steve passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hartsville the son of the late William M. Atkinson, Sr. and Nell Johnson Atkinson. Steve was an entrepreneur, he loved to fish and loved shooting pool. He previously worked at Morrison Oil, Ina Bearing and delivered papers locally. Surviving are brothers, William M. Bea Atkinson, Jr. and his wife Marie, Hartsville, Billy Ray Atkinson, Hartsville; nephews, Rocky (Michael) Atkinson and Rodney Atkinson; niece, Tina (Dusty) Hodge; special caregiver, Bertha Atkinson, special friends, Shylonda Vaught and Shamra Waldron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Penny Atkinson. Norton Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Atkinson family. www.nortonfh.net
