Spencer Reid Arrowood

Hartsville- Mr. Spencer Reid Arrowood, 86, went to be with The Lord on Tuesday afternoon, November 26th, 2019, while at the McLeod Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Monday afternoon, December 2nd, 2019, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Reverend Ray Robinson will officiate and Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Arrowood was a native of Marion, North Carolina, but resided in Hartsville for the past 50 + years.  He was a Chemist and a son of the late Nan Rayburn.  Spencer was a member of the Darlington County Balsa Busters Flying Club and loved hunting and fishing.  He deeply loved his family and especially his late wife, Elizabeth Arrowood.  Spencer grew up during hard times which taught him the value of a dollar and he would not hesitate to help anyone in need.  Mr. Arrowood served our country through the United States Marine Corps.

Surviving are his daughters, Janet (Joe) Anderson of Fort Lawn and Cheryl (Glenn) Davis of Clyde, North Carolina; grandchildren: Aron (Kristin Guynn) Wooten, Jesse (Kristin) Anderson, Joshua Anderson, and Jennalee (Andres) Jimenez; great-grandchildren: Jacob Haile, Sarah Haile, Willow Anderson, Emmalee Anderson, Elliot Wooten, and Elias Jimenez.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Arrowood; mother; children, Terea Nan Arrowood and Michael Reid Arrowood.
