Sarah Adelaide Hyatt Blades

Mrs. Sarah Adelaide Hyatt Blades, 96, of Columbia and formerly of Bishopville, joined The Church Triumphant on Friday evening, September 29th, 2023, while at Mill Creek Manor in Columbia.  

A native of Bishopville, Mrs. Blades was the oldest of 5 children born to the late George Lever & Lina Estelle Hyatt.  She enjoyed arts, crafts, sewing and visiting with family and friends.  Being an Army-wife, she enjoyed traveling and seeing the world.

Surviving are her two sons, Jack Merle Blades and Michael Hyatt Blades.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Colonel Jack Blades.

The service celebrating her life will be conducted by the graveside of St. Matthew Christian Church Cemetery at 1:00 on Wednesday afternoon, October 4th, 2023, with Reverend Champ Squires officiating.  The family will speak with friends following the service at the graveside.
