Sandra Watkins Strange

This obituary is being posted as a courtesy to the local family and friends of the Strange family.  Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel are handling the services.

Sandra Watkins Strange was born June 15, 1942 in Bethune, SC and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was a daughter of the late Sara Huntley and Ben Watkins.

Mrs. Strange taught school in Atlanta for a few years. She retired from Gilbert High School as an Honors English teacher. She was a member of Lexington Baptist Church.

Mrs. Strange is survived by her husband, Henry Grady Strange; son, Allen Strange; daughter, Lisa Berrier (John-deceased); granddaughter, Christa Berrier; brother, Cecil Watkins (Kaye) and sister, Cynthia Leaphart (Billy). She was predeceased by her brother, Marvin Watkins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Lexington Baptist Church with interment to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
