Sandy was born on April 7, 1941 to Paul Hazel Truesdale and Evelyn Owens Truesdale in Westville SC. After Sandy graduated from Baron DeKalb High School in 1959 she went on to study nursing at the South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and became an RN.

Sandy was awarded the South Carolina Home Health Nurse of the Year in 1992. She truly loved working and grew especially fond of her patients. They were like family to her. Due to the effects of her strokes, she made the tough decision to retire for good in 2023.
Sandy enjoyed many years of fishing and water skiing at Santee. She was an avid Gamecock and Nascar fan. Sandy also enjoyed traveling. She and Dave traveled over twenty countries together. Her favorite times were always spent with family. She especially enjoyed going on many family cruises and making lifetime memories.
She is survived by David Kneece Williams, her husband of sixty years. She is also survived by her son David Kneece Williams Jr. (MaryJo) of Asheville, NC and daughter Joye Black (Will) of Hartsville, SC. She leaves behind her grandchildren Rosemary Cadette (John) of Charlotte, NC, Bennett and Matthew Black of Hartsville, SC, and Haze Mackey of Asheville, NC, and two great grandsons, Milo and Kai Cadette of Charlotte, NC.
