Ruth Kirkley

McBee, S.C. Funeral services for Ruth Adcock Kirkley age 93, who passed away July 24, will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the Beauford Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Williams and Rev. Duane Stegall will officiate. Burial will be in the Beauford Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-8 pm at the Beauford Baptist Church. Mrs. Kirkley was born in Angelus, a daughter of the late Henry & Fannie Braddock Adcock. She was a member of Beauford Baptist Church, where she had perfect attendance for 30 years and had held most every position in the church during those years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving are two sons, John (Kaye) Lawson Kirkley, Jr., Union, Julius Kirkley, McBee; four daughters, Lois (John) Florio, McBee, Patricia (Bill) Gregory, Rock Hill, Dianne (Ronnie) Lee, Cheraw and Faye (Duane) Coggin, Charlotte; 13 Grand children and 27 Great Grandchildren; four sisters, Lula Kirkley, Kannapolis, Berneice McPherson, Bethune, Edith Kirkley, Jefferson and Bobbie Jean Mintz, Lexington; two brothers, Ray Adcock, Kershaw and Harold Adcock, Pageland. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lawson Kirkley, Sr.; Daughter In Law, Mary Kirkley; sisters, Lois Adcock and Carolyn Stewart; brothers, Bill, Joe, James, Russell (Jitter) and John Henry (Buck) Adcock.
