Funeral services for Russell Gunnells age 84, will be held Saturday at 2:00 at the Bible Truth Holiness Church. Rev. Hazel Mixon will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday 5-7 pm at Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville.

Mr. Gunnells was born in Bamberg a son of the late William Earl Gunnells and Miriam McKenzie Gunnells. He attended Bible Truth Holiness Church., was a Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Reeves Brothers.

Surviving are one son, Emmitt Gunnells, Bowdoinham, Maine; three daughters, Elaine Cheuvront, Bishopville, Sandra Kay (Marvin) Gilbert, Hartsville and Elizabeth Frizzle, Bowdoinham, Maine; grandchildren, Shane (Amanda) Brazel, Tessa (Glenn) Wilkens, Elizabeth Gunnells, Stephanie Gunnells, Heather (Adam) Frizzle, Samantha Frizzle-Thompson, Nichole Frizzle, KC Frizzle, Ashley (Timothy) Shearer, Allen (Harley Gillespie) Cheuvront; great grandchildren, Avery, Brice, Daphine, Cole, Rileigh, Laken, Landon, Baby Gunnells, Bentley, Wyatt, Madison, Garrett, Angelina, Curtis, Brantley, Brooklyn.
