Rufus Jennings Lloyd age 82 passed away November 11. A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Richardson  will officiate. Burial will be in the Elim Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-7 at the funeral home.

Jennings was born in Hartsville a son of the late Rufus F. and Bessie Pipkin Lloyd. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Living Hope Sunday School Class. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company after 38 years of service and was a member of the Old Timers Club. He served with the National Guard. He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing especially with his grandson Jay.

Surviving are his sister in law, Kathy B. Lloyd, Lamar; one nephew, Randy (Amy) Lloyd, Hartsville; one niece Sheila (Danny) Ward, Andrews; one grandson, Jay Kelley, Hartsville; great nephews, Randall Lloyd and Austin Ward; great nieces, Ashley Ward, Grayson Lloyd and Abigail Ward; one step son, Alan (Edie) Kelley, Hartsville; His loving Companion Oreo. He was preceded in death by his brother, Derrick Lloyd and two infant sisters.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff at McCoy Memorial Nursing Home for the care which they provided to Mr. Lloyd.
