Ruby Davis

Funeral services for Ruby Brown Davis, age 91, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Rev. B.R. Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis was born in Bishopville a daughter of the late Jessie R. & Lillie Mae Marsh Brown. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She was employed at Oxford Manufacturing in Camden and Bishopville Manufacturing. She was a graduate of Central High School, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and held her family together.

Surviving are three daughters, Jenny Bramlett, Sumter, Wanda Carraway, Sumter and Sandra Owens, Cayce; three sons, Keith (Gail) Davis, Bishopville, Gerald Davis, Orangeburg and Ronnie Davis, Florence; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband L.L. Davis, two brothers, Carey (Sonny) Brown and Glenn Watson.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Mayes DuBose and the staff of NHC of Sumter for the care which they provided to their mother.
