Roland Watford

Hartsville, S.C. Graveside services for Roland Solomon (RS) Watford, Jr., age 78, who passed away August 18, will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Mt. Elon Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be following the service at the graveside. RS was born in Hartsville a son of the late Roland S. Watford, Sr. and Marian Oneal Watford. He retired from Sonoco Products Company after 36 years of service and was a member of the Old Timers Club. He received five patents from suggestion awards at Sonoco. Surviving are his wife, Susan Kelley Watford, Hartsville; three sons, Charles Edward (Cameron) Watford, Hartsville, Donnie Watford, Hartsville and Devin Markham, Alameda, CA; one daughter, Tammy Lynn (Joey) James, Darlington; one sister, Jelean Watford, Lamar; three grandchildren, Dustin and Paige Watford and Madison James; two great grandchildren, Harley & Jacob Watford.
