Roland Hopkins

Funeral services for Roland William Hopkins age 73 will be held Tuesday at 3:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bethany (Tiller) Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Hopkins was born in Bishopville a son of the late Roland and Lucille Huggins Hopkins. He was engaged in Farming and enjoyed Car racing, Fishing and Dancing.

Surviving are four daughters: Diane Hopkins, Sumter, Renee Faile, Hartsville, Spring Privett, Columbia and Angela Privett Jordan, Bishopville; one son, Roland Hopkins, III, Bishopville; one brother, Kenneth Hopkins, Hartsville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Scottie Hopkins; three brothers, Peter, Charlie and Larry Hopkins; three sisters, Cynthia Hinson, Maxine Watts and Mary Elizabeth Hopkins.
