Mr. Rogers Adair Jeffords 81 passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. He was born in Florence, SC on April 3, 1936, was the son of the late S. A. and Irene Rogers Jeffords
Adair graduated from St. Johns High School and North Carolina Vocational Textile
School. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He attended Mt. Elon Baptist Church and
served the church in many capacities.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Betty Adams Jeffords; children,
Rogers (Linda) Jeffords of Darlington, Denise (Robin) Skinner of Lydia,
Franklin (Michelle) Jeffords of Hartsville; grandchildren, Elizabeth DeEtte Skinner of New York City, Robert Skinner of Lydia and fiancé Lauren Summers of Orangeburg
Jas (Courtney) Skinner of Camden, Jacob Jeffords of Darlington, Deuce and Dair Jeffords of Hartsville; step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, Sister-in-law Barbara Boyd, and three nieces Lynne Boyd Jones, Leigh Coker, and Wendy Coker Raulerson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Shirley Jeffords Skelton,
and mother and father in-law, Jessie and Grover Adams.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18 at three o'clock at Mt. Elon
Baptist Church, Lydia, SC. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Burial will be at the church cemetery. Memorials are to be made to Mt. Elon
Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 38, Lydia, SC 29079, or to the charity of
one's choice.
