Graveside services for Rodney Wilson age 58 will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at Dovesville Church of God Cemetery.  Pastor Robert Goins will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday at Norton Funeral Home.

Rodney passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Carolina Pines RMC.  He was born in Darlington the son of the late Melvin and Lou Ellen O’Neal Wilson.  Rodney was a member of Dovesville Church of God, retired from Dixie Cup.  He was an avid weight lifter and never met a stranger.  He loved making people laugh and loved his family and friends.  Rodney had a special bond with his granddaughter, she was the light of his life.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years , Peggy Tyner Wilson, Hartsville; daughters, Cherita (Lee) Murph, McBee, Casey (R.H.) Carter, Manning; granddaughter, Ava Aquino, McBee; siblings, Vera (William) Yow, Dovesville, Randy (Bobbie) Wilson, Conway, Celeste (Steve) Weaver, Timmonsville, Kathy (Lonnie) Howle, Dovesville; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Lawrence Street.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Jo Wilson and a nephew, Josh Howle.
