Memorial services of Remembrance for Robert T. Simmons, Jr. age 61 will be held 2:00pm Thursday at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Rev. Dr. Ernest Winburn will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home.  Visitation will follow the services.  The family welcomes guest to visit at the residence of his daughter, Shannon, 4:00-6:00pm Wednesday, 143 Timberchase Drive, Hartsville, SC 29550.

Robert passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family Monday evening, September 27, 2021.  He was born in Long Branch, NJ the son of the late Robert T. Simmons, Sr. and Joan McKinnon Driscoll.

He served his country as a US Navy Veteran, he was an electrician by trade.  Robert was selfless and willing to help anyone in any situation.  He loved his wife, daughters and his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Simmons, Florence; daughters, Heather (Davon Jett) Simmons, Hartsville, Shannon (Caroline Perry) Simmons, Hartsville, Ashley (Jamal) Washington, Hartsville; brothers, John Simmons, California, Andy Simmons, Grand Forks, ND; sister, Carolyn Hochbrueckner, Florence; grandchildren, Emily Simmons, Ryder Goodson, Adalynn Washington and Aiden Washington.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Simmons.
