Martin James Riley age 76 died peacefully at home on 12/21/2023.
He was born in Philadelphia PA on November 10, 1947 to Mr. Martin Riley Sr and Anna Riley. Surviving to cherish all the best memories are his daughters Donna Fay (Ron) of Cape May Court House NJ, Lori Abend (John) of Sumter SC. Three grandchildren Ronnie Fay (Shannon), John-Pierre Abend Jr and Angel Abend. He also has one great granddaughter on the way (Ronnie and Shannon Fay).
Mr. Riley served in the United States Coast Guard and deployed to Vietnam during the war. After coming home, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Stockton University NJ in criminal Justice and psychology. He started working in 1971 with the North Wildwood Police Department until his retirement in 1994. He earned his rank of Lieutenant District Commander.
He was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoying going out to the races at every sporting event. He enjoyed being outdoors working in his yard.
He married his true love in May 1974. After his retirement, he and his wife relocated to Hartsville SC. He was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Riley after 49 years of marriage.
