Norton Funeral Home Hartsville, SC Memorial services for Ricky Burkett age 50 will be held Wednesday at 5:00pm at Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.Ricky passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015. He was born in Hartsville the son of the late Roland Alton and Carolyn Lunn Burkett. He was an avid sports fan and loved Nascar racing. Ricky was a standout baseball player for Hartsville High School and to this day still holds numerous pitching and homerun records at Winthrop College. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was always found having a good time. Surviving are his sisters, Debbie Neidig, Murrells Inlet, Angie (Barry) Tedder, Timmonsville; nieces, Ashley Raines, Florence, Caroline Tedder, Timmonsville, Dylan Niedig, Murrells Inlet; great nephews, Evan Neidig and Hayden Raines, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to mention Ricky's was also survived by his beloved dog Chilly. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Tyler Neidig. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
