Reinhard Lange passed away in peace at his South Carolina home on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019 at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Caroline Lange. He is survived by his son, Eric Lange, his daughter, Karen Lange Hunter, daughter-in-law Linda Lange, son-in-law, Ken Hunter and only grandchild, Tiffany Hunter who all reside in New Jersey. He is survived by two sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews all residing in Germany. He is also survived by his companion, Harriet Hill who shared his life and cared for him for more than 15 years.
Reinhard was a lover of gardening and spent countless hours nurturing vegetable plants and flowers alike. He had a passion for the thrill of fishing anywhere from the high seas of the Long Island Sound, NY and Atlantic Ocean party boats to the more serene setting of a lake. As a craftsman with experience in the construction trade, he could build and fix just about anything when presented with the challenge. He was also a valued contributor in the construction of the original New York City World Trade Center Towers which began in 1969.
A graveside service will be held 3:00pm Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 at Darlington Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday 1:30-2:30pm at the funeral home.
