Rayford Pait

Rayford Haynes Pait age 79, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Born in Bladenboro, NC and was married and lived in Hartsville, SC, he was a son of the late Ralph and Leola Pait. A resident of Surfside Beach for over 40 years, Rayford was a man of few words, loved to work and spend time with his family and friends, he also loved his fur babies Cocoa and Pepper. Rayford was preceded in death by a brother, Horace Pait and a sister, Dorothy Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Pait; children, Crystal (Paul) Groce of Bryson City, NC, Gary Pait (Elieser) of Miami, FL and Terry Pait (Lisa) of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren, Melody (Joshua) Joyner, Chad (Alysia) Johnson, Paul (Alysaunde) Groce, Austin Pait, Ethan Pait and Olivia Pait; step grandchildren, Vanessa Groce, Jessica Groce, Stuart Swinford and Sarah Catherine Swinford; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers, David Pait, Jerry (Betty) Pait, Phillip Pait and Mark Pait; sisters, Imogene Price, Rose Marinier and Phyllis (Freddy) Pait.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2020 at Hester family Cemetery in Bladenboro, NC.
