Persia Dampier Jones

Mrs. Persia Dampier Jones, 76, of Hartsville, passed away Sunday morning, October 25th, 2020, while at home surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Thursday afternoon, October 29th, 2020, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Reverend Will Vaughn officiating and music provided by Mr. Sterling Dyar.  The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born in Hartsville, a daughter of Ruby Gainey Dampier and the late, William Harvey Dampier.  She was a simple lady who greatly loved her family and especially her grandchild, Blake.  Persia enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, going to the beach, and loved cats.

Surviving are her daughter, Karen Harrison of Hartsville; grandchild, Blake (Rebecca) Harrison of Hartsville; mother, Ruby Gainey Dampier of Hartsville; brother, Howard Dampier of Hartsville; and a sister-in-law, Mary Dampier, also of Hartsville

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Wooster Dampier; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Dampier.
