Peggy Howell Gainey

 It is with deep sorrow that William Gerald Gainey announces the death of his beloved wife Peggy Howell Gainey, age 81. Peggy entered into rest on Monday, September 2, 2024 while at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born in Hartsville ,the daughter of the late George Belk Howell and Otcha Mae Gardner.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gerald Gainey, Hartsville; son, William Craig (Elizabeth) Gainey, Hartsville; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Tim) Halliday, Florence, Adam (Rebekah) Gainey, Hartsville, Mary Alice Gainey, Hartsville, Gabe Gainey, Hartsville; brother, Willie James (Janie) Howell, Lamar; sister, Betty (Andy) Rhodes, Hartsville; sister in law, Betty Gainey, Darlington.

Graveside service to honor her life will be held Thursday September 5, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Mt. Elon Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Rob Brazzell and Mr. Billy Jordan will officiate.The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
