Peggy Blackwell

Hartsville, SC Services for Mrs. Peggy McCoy Blackwell age 81 who passed away Sunday, March 24 at her residence after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family will be held Tuesday at 4:00pm at Union United Methodist Church. Dr. Steven M.Todd, Rev. Charlie Short, Rev. Danny Holley and Rev. Frank Segewick will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Blackwell was born in Hartsville the daughter of the late William Lawton McCoy, Sr. and Hettie Edgeworth McCoy. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church, she enjoyed fishing and gardening, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved and cared for her extended family and friends. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Vernon R. Blackwell, Summerton; daughter, Hettie (Buck) Wilkerson, McBee; grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) Winburn, McBee, Melanie (Paul) Lankford, McBee; great grandchildren, McKayla Winburn, Emma Grace Lankford, Sarah Kate Lankford.
