Pearl Parnell Griggs

Pearl Parnell Griggs, age 88 of Wallace, S.C. passed away peacefully April 21, 2024. She was born in Marlboro County, S.C. where she lived all her life.

Mrs. Griggs was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Allen Griggs, and sons Allen and Joe Griggs. She is survived by granddaughter, Ashley Griggs McDaniel (James Harold, Jr.) of Moncks Corner, S.C. and grandsons, James Allen Griggs and Charles Robert Griggs of Wallace, S.C. and two great grandchildren, Addison and Emma Kate McDaniel. Two sisters-in-law also survive Mrs. Griggs, Virginia Griggs Taylor of Irmo, S.C. and Rev. Dr. Nina Griggs Gunter of Nashville, TN, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Griggs was a faithful, lifelong member of the Wallace Church of the Nazarene.

She worked at James Fabrics (now Highland Industries) in Cheraw, S.C. for 39 years. She had a strong faith in her Lord, family, Church and friends. Her life was characterized by her love for God and people. She was compassionate and positive and always had a smile and kind word for everyone.

The service is scheduled for Sunday April 28, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the Wallace Church of the Nazarene and will be conducted by Rev. Dr. D. Moody Gunter, Rev. Dr. Nina Gunter, Pastor Rev. Bobby Norris, and Rev. John Griggs.
