Paul Roosevelt Hunter, Jr.

Mr. Paul Roosevelt (PJ) Hunter, Jr. age 55 went home to be with his Lord & Savior on March 13 while at Carolina Pines RMC with his loving family by his side. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 at the New Providence Baptist Church. Rev. Cliff Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in the Darlington Memory Gardens directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour (from 1-2 PM) prior to the service at the church.

PJ was born in Hartsville, married to Cynda Weaver Hunter and was the son of Paul Hunter, Sr. and Cathey Shull Nolan. He was a 1986 graduate of Hartsville High School and was also a graduate of York County TEC. He owned Carolina Heating and Cooling in Rock Hill. He was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Gamecocks and the Braves. He was a dedicated American Patriot and loved animals. His favorite scripture was the 23^rd Psalm.

Surviving are his wife, Cynda Weaver Hunter, Rock Hill; his father of Hartsville; his mother of Florence; one son, Kendall (April) Skinner, Florence; one daughter, Alexandria (Ian) Johnson, Rock Hill; one sister, Gennie (Steve) Handmaker, Alpharette, GA; four grandchildren, Kinsley Page, Macyn Skinner, Jaxon Skinner and Jayden Skinner; one niece, Jasmine Handmaker and one nephew , Austin Handmaker.
