Otis Moree

Otis Harold Moree, age 68, went home to be with his Lord & Savior on January 1. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 at the Oates Baptist Church. Rev. Gerald McAlister and Rev. William Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in the Beauford Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Due to the weather the visitation has been changed to 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Anyone who would like to come by and sign the book before visitation time, please do so.

Otis was born in Chesterfield a son of the late Walter Thomas and Nellie Mae Jordan Moree. He was retired from Kendall Mills in Camden after 32 years of service. He was a member of Oates Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather and  loved the Lord and his church family.

Surviving are his wife, Myra Skinner Moree, Hartsville; one son, William (Boogie ) Moree and is wife Kim, Darlington; one daughter, Tammy  and her husband Timothy Drotar, Hartsville; one brother, Walter Le  Moree and his wife Penny, Hartsville; one sister, Aline (Sissy) Gainey, Hartsville; two step daughters, Christina McCaskill, Bishopville and Nancy Kidd, Olney, Texas; four grand children; five step grandchildren and one step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, William and John Moree and one sister, Nita Anderson.
