Ola Iris Phillips

Ola Iris Phillips age 79 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 21. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 2:00 at the Forest Hills Independent Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Murray will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Darlington Memory Gardens directed by Norton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Marion a daughter of the late Kelly and Sadie Martin Johnson. She was a member of Forest Hills Independent Baptist Church for over 46 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and sister.

Surviving are her husband of 59 wonderful years, Norris N. Phillips, Hartsville; two sons, Richard (Tonna) Phillips, Santee and John (Anna) Phillips, Hartsville; eight grandchildren, James Phillips, Gilda Rogers, Nathan Phillips, John Phillips, Jr., Jacob Tootle, Amy Sauls, Kelly Humphries and Ashley Tootle; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Baxley, Cheraw; one brother, Henry Johnson, Pacolet. She was preceded in death by seven sisters.
