Mrs. Myrtle Isgett Braddock, 85, of Hartsville, passed away Friday afternoon, June 12th, 2020, while at Morrell Nursing Center.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 on Monday afternoon, June 15th, 2020, from Magnolia Cemetery with Bishop Heber Watson conducting the service. The family will be receiving friends from 11:30 – 12:30 on Monday prior to the service at Norton Funeral Home.
Born in Kingstree, but raised in Hartsville, Mrs. Braddock was a daughter of the late Lonnie & Willametta Smith Isgett. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and worked at Food Service, Inc. of Hartsville, but later retired from A.O. Smith in McBee.
She was married to her best friend, Leroy Braddock, who passed away in 1991. She has waited 29 years to be with him again; what a happy reunion that must have been! During her life, she served in several callings including the church choir, cooking, crocheting, and making wonderful birthday cakes for her children and grandchildren.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children: Phyllis (Doug) Brewer of Fort Pierce, Florida, Phillip (Sandy) Braddock of Hartsville, and Craig (Connie) Braddock of Hartsville; 9 grandchildren: Gabrielle McJunkin, Evans Braddock, Myles Braddock, Logan Braddock, Nick Braddock, Holly Braddock, Onna Ensign, Douglas Brewer, Jr., Kristin Cerini; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Griff Chapman of Texas, who loved to tease his big sister.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Chapman; brothers, Joe Chapman and Billy Chapman, both of Hartsville.
Norton Funeral Home of Hartsville is honored to be serving the Braddock family.
