Mrs. Martha Haney

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Andrews Haney age 93 widow of James Howard Haney will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Heber Watson will conduct the services, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.

Mrs. Haney passed away on Wednesday, May10 at her residence. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she was retired from Sonoco Products Company and worked at Clanton's Auto Sales. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yards and baking cakes. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all who knew her.

Surviving are her daughter, Martha Jean Barr, Newberry; son, Dr. Howard Wayne Haney, Myrtle Beach; granddaughters, Tara (Larry) Stephens, Timmonsville, Andrea (David) White, Greenwood; great grandchildren, Caleb White, Hunter White, Ethan White, Brody White; a special son, Jerry Hobson, Myrtle Beach; a loving friend who was like a daughter, Mary Williams.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Louise Patrick; brothers, Ellis Cuyler Andrews, Carlton Whitfield (Pete) Andrews; special son in law, William Larry Barr

Memorials may be made to the Missionary Fund at the LDS Church, 981 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550 or Beacon Hospice, 2635-A Hardee Cove, Sumter, SC 29150.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses with Beacon Hospice that took such good care of Mrs. Haney, Lawon Gardner, Robin Lydick, Tanya Samuel.
