Mrs. Janice Hodges

Memorial service for Janice (Jan) Whittle Hodges, age 79 will be held Thursday at 2:00 at West Hartsville Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Walters will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jan was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late Travis and Marie Truett Whittle. Jan was a member of West Hartsville Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class, member of the Young at Heart, and delivered meals to Shut Ins. Jan retired from Sonoco Products, and recently retired from the Conner Law Firm. A devoted wife, mother and friend, Jan loved helping others. She enjoyed spending time at her church, the beach, and with her cat " Molly ".

Surviving are one daughter, Fran Hodges, Lexington; two sons, Jimmy (Kim) Hodges, Beech Grove, IN and Will Hodges, Charlotte; one sister, Frankie (Chuck) Northcutt, Greer. She was preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Hodges, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Hartsville Baptist church or the Darlington County Animal Shelter.
