Mr. Lawrence Thompson

Graveside services for Lawrence Wayne Thompson age 73, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 at the Richmond County Memorial Cemetery in Rockingham, N.C. Visitation will be Sunday 3-5 pm at Norton Funeral Home in Hartsville and on Monday 6-8 pm at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.

Mr. Thompson was born in Jackson Springs, N.C. a son of Virginia Morgan Thompson and the late Jack Thompson. He was retired from Progress Energy after 32 years of service. He loved NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys and loved to work in his yard.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years Terry Snipes Thompson, Hartsville; his mother of Rockingham; one daughter, Sherry Thompson Tatreault, Rockingham; three brothers, Philip Thompson, Thailand, Gary Thompson, Rockingham and Steve Thompson, Rockingham; The light of his life granddaughter, Adison Tetreault, Rockingham; two God Children, Bailey Scott, Florence and Christian Scott, Hemingway.
