Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Leon Winborne age 78 will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Hughes will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Winborne passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Carresville, Virginia on April 29, 1938. He was the oldest son of the late Marcus Otto and Inez Burgess Winborne. He was retired from Sonoco Spiral Department with 38 faithful years of service. He served nine years in the U. S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years Julia Irene Thigpen Winborne, Hartsville; sisters, Ruth W. Galtress, Murfreesboro, NC, Joyce W. Ham, Columbia; brothers, Chester Winborne, Darlington, James Winborne, Florence.
