Mr. Bennett Johnson age 14 passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his residence. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 5:00-8:00pm at Norton Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday with Pastor Danny Holley officiating.
Bennett was born in Florence the son of William Jesse Johnson, Jr. and Sondra Martin Johnson. He was a rising 10th grade student at Hartsville High School. Bennett enjoyed being outdoors and hanging out with his big brother. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his Xbox.

Surviving are his parents of Hartsville; brother, Jess Johnson and special friend Alex Shaw, both from Hartsville; paternal grandfather, William Jesse Johnson, Sr., Hartsville; maternal grandfather, Barry Martin, Wilmington, NC; aunts, Cherri (Jimmy) Hendrix, Fort Mill, Terri (Ken) Clougherty, Geraldine (Jimmy) Winburn, Ringgold, GA; uncle, Jeff (Paula) Martin, Wilmington, NC; cousins, Jamie, Jessica, Tori, Maggie, Mackenzie, Thomas and Tripp.

The family wanted to mention some special friends, and pallbearers, Alex Shaw, Jared Ferrence, Zach Wilks, Tori Clougherty, Alex Horton, Warner Mahn and Hampton Wilfong

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Margorie A. Johnson and maternal grandmother, Eunice Martin.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in loving memory of Bennett to the Bennett Johnson Scholarship Fund in C/O SPC Credit Union, P.O. Box 1355, Hartsville, SC 29551.
