Mike Smothers

Hartsville, SC

We are saddened to announce the passing of Mike Smothers.  Mike age 64 passed away at his residence on Friday, October 9, 2020.  No services are planned at this time.

Mike was born in Hartsville the son of GW Smothers and the late Jerdgie Valentine Smothers.  He was an excellent boat mechanic at his family’s business (Smothers Bait and Tackle), he enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Marcella Brown Smothers, Hartsville; daughter, Ava Smothers, Sumter, his dad, GW  Smothers, Hartsville; brother, Billy (Debbie) Smothers, Hartsville; grandchildren, Kevin Schaefer, Levi Smith, Ellie Smith, Mason Smith; nephews, Dustin Smothers and Jason Smothers.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Jerdgie Valentine Smothers and a daughter Windy Smothers McLendon.
