Michael Gregory (Greg) O'Neal

Michael Gregory O’Neal, 61, passed unexpectedly and went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, September 7th, 2023. He was a beloved son, father, husband, and Christian. Greg was born on October 28th, 1961 in Hartsville, South Carolina to Becky and Bobby O’Neal. He graduated from Hartsville High School and Francis Marion University. After graduating, Greg had a long, wonderful career with Conagra Foods. He moved to Bentonville, Arkansas where he raised his family. After retiring from Conagra, he returned home to Hartsville.

Greg had many roles but being Dad to his girls was the joy of his life. He loved nothing more than supporting them, spending time with his parents, and rooting for the USC Gamecocks. He was a friend to all and never passed up an opportunity to give the “Jeep wave.”  We will keep his love, quick-wit, and thoughtfulness in our hearts forever.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Rachel O’Neal (Nashville, TN) and Emily O’Neal Deal, son-in-law Chris Deal, and grandchildren Caroline, Brantley, and Mikey Deal (Auburndale, FL). He is also survived by his parents and sister Jennifer O’Neal Brown, his wife Angelique, and her children Mariah and Logan, as well as other close family members including Holly, Trey, and Savanna Brown (Hartsville, SC).

Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 11th at 2:00 P.M. ET at Magnolia Cemetery. Greg’s dear friend Jimmy Beck will officiate the service. The family will gather at Becky and Bobby O’Neal’s home (306 East Richardson Circle in Hartsville) over the weekend. The visitation will be held at graveside following the memorial service.

Greg was unwavering in his faith, and we find peace knowing he is in Heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greg’s church, One Church or your local Foster care organization.
